About this tool
This keyword density checker compares each whitespace-separated token to your keyword (case-insensitive). Density is hits divided by word count, shown with two decimal places. Empty text yields Count 0 and Density 0%. Partial matches inside longer words are not counted—only whole tokens that equal the keyword.
How to use
- Open the checker: Load this page so the Text and Keyword fields appear.
- Paste your content: Put the full passage into Text (sample text is prefilled).
- Set the keyword: Type the exact word to measure in Keyword (default sample is seo).
- Read the stats: Watch Count and Density: N% update as you edit—no button required.
Common use cases
- Check how often a target phrase appears as whole words in a draft.
- Compare density after you rewrite a paragraph for SEO or readability.
- Spot overuse of a brand or product name before publishing.
Tips
- Keep the keyword as a single token if you expect exact word matches.
- Extra spaces still split into empty gaps after trim; paste clean prose for clearer density.

What is density?
Density is (matches ÷ total words) × 100, shown with two decimals, such as Density: 25.00%.
Is my text uploaded?
Counting runs in your browser as you type; you do not need an account.
